You can save storage space and increase efficiency of the device by compressing some of your files with this ZIPtool.
How to Zip (compress) a file or files in PocketPC
To zip a file or files, select "Start" > File Manager.
Tap (mark) and hold (your lovely stylus) on a file or files you would like to zip. A pop-up menu will appear.
Select "Add to Zip File" in the pop-up menu.
In the newly appeared window, you may use or skip the following options:
- Tap Normal to change a zip method according to your need. There are four methods: none, fast, normal or maximum.
- Tap Encrypt to set a password, which will be asked for when you unzip the file.
- Or Tap Start, to start zipping (compressing) the file.
How to UnZip (uncompress) a file in PocketPC
To unzip a file, select "Start" > Programs > Tools.
Select Zip, and then tap the Unzip button on the pop-up window. A list of zipped files will appear.
You may select a different folder for more zip files. In the file list, tap on the file you would like to unzip.
Select a location where you would like to extract the file to.
Tap OK and enter the password (if required) to decompress the zip file.

Connect to a PC via a cable or cradle:
USB is the most common cable type, and the baud and/or cable type is set automatically. You can manually change the connection settings as described below. The next time you connect your device to the PC, this new setting will be used.
Tap > Programs > ActiveSync.
Tap Menu > Connections.
Under Synchronize all PCs using this connection, select a baud or cable type.
Connect to a PC via infrared:
Follow the instructions in ActiveSync Help on the PC for setting up your PC to receive infrared beams.
Line up the infrared (IR) ports according to the instructions in the manufacturer's documentation for your device so that they are unobstructed and within close range.
On the device, tap > Programs > ActiveSync.
Tap Menu > Connect via IR.
Tap Sync.
Connect to a PC via Bluetooth:
For best results, connect the device to the PC using USB to establish a synchronization relationship before connecting via Bluetooth.
Follow the instructions in ActiveSync Help on the PC for configuring Bluetooth on your PC to support ActiveSync.
On the device, tap > Programs > ActiveSync.
Tap Menu > Connect via Bluetooth. Make sure that the device and computer are within close range.
If this is the first time you have connected to this PC via Bluetooth, you must first complete the Bluetooth wizard on the device and set up a Bluetooth partnership with the PC.
Tap Sync.
Notice: When finished, tap Menu > Disconnect Bluetooth.
To preserve battery power, turn off Bluetooth.

To avoid creating a new connection for each location, use Dialing Rules.
Tap > Settings > Connections tab.
Tap Connections > Advanced tab > Dialing Rules.
Tap New.
In the Name box, enter a location name, for example, New York.
Enter or edit the area code and country code.
If you have a pulse phone line, select the Pulse dialing check box. Most phone lines are tone.
To automatically disable call waiting, select the Disable call waiting check box. Then, tap the appropriate number sequence in the list, or enter a new sequence.
Tip
To change how the number is dialed, tap Dialing Patterns. For example, enter dialing patterns that will set your device to always dial the number as long distance, or to first dial a 9.

You can block all unknowing numbers, specific contacts from your Contacts List, or any specific numbers not on your contacts List. When a number or a contact on your block list is calling, your device will notify you that you have an incoming call. After 5 seconds, the notification will stop.
Tap START > Programs > Phone Manager >Block List.
Check "Block all unknow call" to block all unknow calls.
On the Contacts List, check the box next to the contact that you want to set in your block list.
Uncheck a contact to remove them from your block list.
Tap Add on your screen to add a number to your block list.
Tap "OK" to save your changes, and back to Phone Manager screen.
Notice: You can also add your block list from Contacts or Call History.

You can choose the animation to be shown and how it is to be shown on the screen as the device is shutting down.
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Shutdown Animation.
Tap on Animation File to select an animation.
Tap on Sound File to select the sound effect you like as your shut down sound effect.
Select User Define on both Animation File and Sound File to set files saved in other directory as your shut down animation or sound effect.
Tap on Show Time to set a time length for the shutting of your device.
Tap Preview to preview your settings.
Press OK to save and exit.

You can set up the answer machine function for taking voice messages without making extra calls to your service providers. It saves you time and cost.
Enable Your Answer Machine:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Answer Machine Tab.
On the Wise Talk screen, the first tab is Answer Machine.
Check Enable Answer Machine.
Press OK to save.
When the Answer Machine is enabled, you can apply a different greeting to a specific incoming call by tapping on the icon that appears on the incoming call alert window.Note¡GWhen you enable your answer machine function, if you do not answer the incoming call in your set time period, the answering machine will automatically answer the call. The caller¡¦s message will be saved under My Answer Machine folder in your device. You can check this voice message directly without going through your service provider.
Disable Your Answer Machine:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Answer Machine Tab.
Uncheck Enable Answer Machine.
Press OK to save.Note¡GIf you disable your answer machine function, unanswered calls will be directed to your voice mail box via your service provider.
Set Up Answer Machine:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Answer Machine Tab.
Check Enable Answer Machine to enable answer machine.
In save In, you can choose to save the messages in phone (default) or in mini SD card.
In Recording Time, you can set the recording time for caller's messages.
Enter your desired activate time in the Activate Time.
Tap "Greeting setup" to select a greeting.
Press OK to save.
Select Greeting:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Answer Machine Tab.
Check Enable Answer Machine to activate answer machine.
Tap Greeting Setup pull-down menu to select a greeting.
You can also record your own greetings. See Record Your Own Greetings
Press OK to save.
Record Your Own Greetings:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Answer Machine Tab.
Check Enable Answer Machine to activate answer machine.
Tap Greeting Setup to open the pull-down menu and select self-define.
Tap the record button to record your own greeting message.
You may listen to the recorded greeting by tapping the play button.
Press OK to save.Note: After the recorder screen pop up, you can use the Camera Key to start/stop recording.

If you want to connect to intranet sites that have periods in their URLs (for example, intranet.companyname.com), you must add them to the Work URL Exceptions list.
Tap > Settings > Connections tab.
Tap Connections > Advanced tab > Exceptions.
Tap Add new URL.
In Work URL, enter the intranet URL.
Tip: If you use many URLs that share the same root company name, you can avoid entering them individually by entering *.companyname.com.

You can use the background effects function to simulate a desired background environment sound, like in a car or on a train.
Enable Background Effects Function:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Background Effects Tab.
Check Enable Background Sound to enable the background effects function.
Press OK to save.
After you enable your background effects, a small icon will appear during a incoming call.
Tap Apply on the incoming call screen to apply the selected background effect.
Or
Tap Answer to only answer incoming calls without applying background effect. Notice: After you enable your background effects function, on your incoming call screen, a Sound Effect icon will appear as a reminder that the background effects function is on.
Disable Background Effects Function:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Background Effects Tab.
Uncheck Enable Background Sound to disable the background effects function.
Press OK to save.
Select Background Effects:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Background Effects Tab.
Check Enable Background Sound to enable background effects.
Tap on the Background Sound drop down menu and choose your desired background effect from the list.
Press OK to save.
Adjust Background Effect Volume:
Tap START > Settings > Personal Tab > Wise Talk > Background Effects Tab.
Check Enable Background Sound to enable background effects.
Tap on the Background volume bar to adjust background effect volume. (To increase background effect volume, drag the volume bar to the right. To decrease background effect volume, drag the volume bar to the left. )
Press OK to save.
